9 New World Heritage Sites in UNESCO

UNESCO World Heritage Committee has introduced 9 new heritage sites for 2021, from different continents, including Asia and Europe.

When it comes to the World Heritage Sites, the first things that come to mind are fantastic cultural and natural attractions around the world. UNESCO World Heritage Committee has announced new sites to be classified in this category. These sites are from all over the world, including Asia and Europe. These sites are as below:

  • Arslantepe Mound (Turkey)
  • Colonies of Benevolence (Belgium, Netherlands)
  • Cordouan Lighthouse (France)
  • Kakatiya Rudreshwara (Ramappa) Temple, Telangana (India)
  • MathildenhΓΆhe Darmstadt (Germany)
  • Padua’s fourteenth-century fresco cycles (Italy)
  • Paseo del Prado and Buen Retiro, a landscape of Arts and Sciences (Spain)
  • Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China (China)
  • The Great Spa Towns of Europe (Austria, Belgium, Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom of Great Britain, and Northern Ireland)
  • Trans-Iranian Railway Iran (the Islamic Republic of)
  • αΈ€imā Cultural Area (Saudi Arabia)

The mentioned attractions are all very popular worldwide, and the World Heritage Committee helps them be more popular and more preserved.
