Weekend Reykjavik Food Tour with a stop at the Reykjavik Flea Market

Day 1 We meet up by the two stone pillars (over 3 meter high) by Ingólfur Square

We meet up at Ingolfstorg Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone high seat pillars (Over 2 meters high), The square is at the beginning of Austurstræti (Austurstræti 1) and is squared off by the streets Aðalstræti, Hafnarstræti, Veltusund, and Vallarstræti. If you walk down Laugavegur (The main shopping street) please just continue all the way down until you come to the square always walking straight down until you can't continue further. On the Ingolfur square itself, you can see Kvosin a small grocery market and Center Hotel Plaza.

Day 2 Our 1st stop is the legendary Seabaron by the old Reykjavik harbor

Here we sample Icelandic Lobster soup, a small piece of Minke whale steak and if you are up for it ... a small piece of the dreaded Icelandic Fermented shark

Day 3 Our 3rd stop is the fast food institution of Iceland = The one and only hot dog stand Bæjarins Besta

This hot dog stands has been in operation since 1937

Day 4 Our 4th stop is a local favourite for it´s street food style

Here we stop for their legendary and traditional lamb soup which is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike

Day 5 Our 5th stop is at a local delicacy store

Here we try ourselves on a variety of traditional und unique Icelandic foods

Day 6 Our 6th and final stop is a popular restaurant

Here we eat salted fish, a very traditional and delicious meal. We also have the opportunity to try our fermented Brennivin spirit - also known as "Black Death" While the name is more for show, the taste is quite "unique"! You should definitely try it out.

Meeting / Pickup

Meet on location: This experience has no pick-up service, customers have to make their way to our meeting point.

What to Bring

Please dress according to weather, in Iceland that means be prepared for any kind of weather! :). It's only about 2,5 km walk all in all and please come hungry!

We are not able to meet any special requirements regarding the food. Our food tour gives you a taste of traditional Icelandic cuisine which includes both meat, fish and dairy.
Please be at Ingolfur Square 5 minutes before the starting time of our walking tour together
