On this tour, you'll learn about the daily lives of the Vikings, their religious beliefs, stories from Norse mythology, and the Viking's epic voyages to far-flung lands. You'll hear about the Icelandic Sagas, tales of battles and conquests and see relics from the Viking age.

Our knowledgeable guide will take you on a leisurely walk through the streets of Reykjavik, sharing stories and insights along the way. You'll visit landmarks related to the Vikings, such as the Settlement Museum, and hear about the role these places played in Viking society.

This tour is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and is the perfect way to learn about the fascinating culture of the Vikings. So come along and experience a journey back to the world of the fierce and mighty Vikings!

We can pick you up at your hotel if it's in the city center of Reykjavik and start this private Icelandic Viking walking tour from there, or you can meet us at our usual spot at Ingólfur Square, where the route is designed especially for the walk, it's your choice.

Your Guide will meet up with you at Ingólfur Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone pillars(They are over 3 meters high).The square on Google Maps:Ingólfur SquareOur expert local guides usually wear a light blue jacket with Your Friend in Reykjavik on the back.The Square is in front of Center Hotels Plaza, Aðalstræti 6. The Square is at the beginning of Austurstræti (Austurstræti 1).

Day 2 We explore history in Reykjavik´s City Council House

Day 5 Skólavörðustígur (And the Norse God District)

Here we learn about the Norse mythology and different Gods and tales around them.

Day 6 We visit the Statue Garden of Einar Jonsson

We visit the unique sculpture Garden and take a look at the different Norse gods represented on statues.
