About This Tour

This 19-day trip will allow you to visit Argentina, Brazil and Peru and the cities of Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Puerto Iguazu, Rio de Janeiro, Lima and Cusco. We start this adventure in the wonderful city of Buenos Aires, where you will have the opportunity to know its most beautiful corners, its fascinating culture and multiple architectural styles. 

Then, you will travel to the city of El Calafate, cradle of the famous Perito Moreno glacier. From Patagonia, you will fly to the North and visit one of the natural wonders of the World, the Iguazu Falls, a place that will connect you with nature. 

Leaving Argentina, you will arrive to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where you will see the monument to Christ the Redeemer, the Sugarloaf mountain and much more. 

Finally you will arrive in Peru, a country that hides an ancient Inca city, better known as Machu Picchu, another of the wonders of the world that will leave you breathless.

Day 1 - Arrival in Buenos Aires

According to your flight itinerary, a driver will be waiting for you at the landing area with a sign in your name, to transfer you quickly and safely to your hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. You will check-in at the hotel and then you will have the day free to explore the city of Buenos Aires or relax in the areas of the hotel.

Day 2 : Buenos Aires - Walking Tour and Tango Show

The Walking Tour starts in our office in San Telmo. We will take Defensa street which is the heart of the neighborhood. This is one of the most oldest neighborhoods in town and it has a vibrant scene of Tango and arts. Then, we will stop by Parque Lezama and finally arrive to La Boca neighborhood, known for the Boca Juniors Stadium and the colorful Caminito street. 

You will also enjoy the tango dancers and street singers and we will learn how Tango, soccer and different immigration influences have made Buenos Aires one of the most irresistible cities in the world. Then, we will take a bus to go back to the city center. On the way, you will have time to admire the modern area of Puerto Madero and the Puente de la Mujer, very famous for the shape which represents a couple dancing Tango. 

We will walk until Plaza de Mayo, main square of Buenos Aires and political heart of Argentina. We will see the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Cabildo and the Casa Rosada (Pink house), the seat of the executive branch. After walking the square, we will head to the Obelisk, symbol of Buenos Aires. After that, we will take another bus to reach the elegant neighborhood of Recoleta, known for its amazing Cemetery. Here, you will see a pretty architecture, a lot of museums, chic coffee shops and the City Tour ends.

Between 8 PM and 8:30 PM, we will pick you up at your hotel to enjoy a beautiful dinner accompanied by an unforgettable Tango Show. This event will take place in "El Querandí", one of the most popular tanguerias in San Telmo neighborhood. You will be welcomed with a three-step gourmet dinner with a wide selection of typical dishes and regional wines. Afterwards, you will be able to enjoy an incredible show, which reviews the History of Tango with different dancing couples and singers. 

At the end, around midnight, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 3 : Buenos Aires - Tigre

At 09:45 AM, you will meet the guide at the pier located in Puerto Madero neighborhood. The boat departs at 10 AM to ride by Río de la Plata where you will enjoy wonderful Buenos Aires views. Arriving at Río Paraná Delta, you will navigate through the islands and learn about the local lifestyle and land at Tigre around 12:15 PM, where you will have a city tour by a comfortable and modern bus.

We will do the first stop in Puerto de Frutos, the old port for commerce, which is now a touristic port visited every weekend by locals and tourists too. Here, you will have free time to visit the fair, take pictures and buy souvenirs. At 01:30 PM, you will have free time to have lunch in the restaurants and stands you will find there (lunch is not included).

Once we get into the bus, we will make the second stop in Paseo Victorica, an exceptional place that combines nature, river views, gastronomy and historic museums. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the museums. The available options are: Museo del Mate, Museo Naval and Museo de Arte de Tigre (fees are not included).

Around 4:30 PM, we will have the train trip to back to Buenos Aires. The tour will end in Retiro Train Station.

Day 4 - Flight to El Calafate from Buenos Aires

According to your flight itinerary, a driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the airport to board your flight. Once in El Calafate, you will be transferred to your hotel. Here you will check-in and have the day free to visit downtown El Calafate or relax at the hotel.

Day 5 : El Calafate - Perito Moreno and Boat Ride

At 9 AM, you will pick up at the hotel to travel along the nice Route 11, which borders the main body of Lake Argentino on the way to Los Glaciares National Park. Once in the park, we will go to the Curva de los Suspiros, where we will get off the vehicle to observe the Perito Moreno Glacier for the first time. 

Later, we will make another stop at the Bajo las Sombras Pier to navigate to the southern wall of the Glacier. Then, we will continue to the front walkways of the glacier, where we will observe it from several balconies located at different heights to appreciate it from different angles, each one more surprising than the last. In the afternoon, we will return to El Calafate.

Day 6 : El Calafate - Free day

This day, we suggest to do the tour of Estancia Cristina or if you want, you can visit "Glaciarium" museum. Here, you will know all about the glaciers.

Day 7 : Iguazu - Arrival to Iguazu from Buenos Aires and Brazilian Falls

You will take your flight to Puerto Iguazú. There, you will be met and transferred to the hotel to check in. In the afternoon, you will start the excursion to visit the Falls on the Brazilian side. The route of the footbridges is 1,200 meters of path on the Iguazú River ravine. You will be able to obtain a panoramic view of the Argentinean waterfalls: an ideal place to take pictures. 

Towards the end of the tour, you will arrive at the lower viewpoint of Garganta del Diablo, which is about 200 meters away. This wonderful scenery is even more enhanced by the permanent rainbow formation.

Day 8 : Iguazu - Falls Argentinian Side

A transfer will pick you up at the hotel in the morning to visit the Argentinian side of the park. Once you cross the park access, you will continue to the “Central Station” to reach the “Waterfalls Circuits” (Superior and Inferior Tour) through the “Green Trail”, with 600 meters long. The Superior Tour is a 800 meter route of walkways which are raised above the ground surface to avoid the fauna natural walk. In this circuit you will observe the waterfall from the superior part of Dos Hermanas, Bosetti, Bernabé Méndez, M'Bigua and others falls. 

On the other hand, the inferior Tour are 1.600 meters walkways over the ground surface having the falls view of Dos Hermanas, Alvar Núñez, San Martín, Bosetti, el Peñón de la Bella Vista. From there, we will have a panoramic view of Garganta del Diablo and Inferior Iguazú River Canyon, an unique experience of being part of that natural environment. 

After, parting of Waterfalls Station, the train will go to Garganta Station in 18 minutes. The walking through the walkways has a 1200 meters extension till get into the principal balcony where you can enjoy the most spectacular and important waterfalls part: La Garganta del Diablo.

Day 9 : Flight to Rio de Janeiro from Iguazu

According to the option selected, your transport will take you to the airport in Puerto Iguazu or Foz de Iguassu to take your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Once there, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and enjoy the rest of the day off.

Day 10 : Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain

First, you will be picked up from your hotel to visit the Corcovado Hill and Christ the Redeemer statue, located at 710 meters high. It is one of the most visited places in the city and also is an eco-tour as the Corcovado hill is located inside the National Park of Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. From the summit of the hill we can see the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the North of the city.

After, we will drive to the legendary Maracanã Stadium, where we stop so you can visit the Maracanã Museum (optional). Then, we will stop at the famous Carnival avenue, Sambodromo, with access to the Samba Museum and entrance at the Apoteose Square.  

After lunch in a traditional BBQ restaurant, we will visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain, located at 395 meters above sea level, in the middle of the Guanabara Bay. The climb is done by a glass cable-car up to the mountain summit, from where we will enjoy a wonderful 360° view of the Guanabara Bay, Copacabana, Urca, Botafogo and Flamengo.

Of course, before the end of the tour we will pass through the Historic City Center with stops in the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Selarón Staircase, passing in the famous Arcos of Lapa.  

Finally, we will return to the hotel. 

Day 11 : Rio de Janeiro - Guanabara Bay

Departing at 9:30 AM, we will embark on a ship to get to know Rio de Janeiro from another perspective: from the sea. The ship will sail the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi, revealing the beauty of the beaches of Flamengo, Botafogo and Urca, the Pao de Acucar, the Fort of São João, Fort Lage, the Fortress of Santa Cruz, Adão and Eva, Jurujuba, Icaraí, Charitas and São Francisco beaches, Stone Itapuca, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Gragoatá beach, Mocanguê Island , the Rio-Niteroi Bridge, Enxadas Island, Cais do Porto, the Museum of Modern Art and Monument to the fallen on World War II. Based on the volume of water, Guanabara Bay is the largest in the world, and includes several islands, such as Governor's Island and the Snake Island.

The ship will sail the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi, revealing the beauty of the beaches of Flamengo, Botafogo and Urca, the Pao de Acucar, the Fort of São João, Fort Lage, the Fortress of Santa Cruz, Adão and Eva, Jurujuba, Icaraí, Charitas and São Francisco beaches, Stone Itapuca, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Gragoatá beach, Mocanguê Island , the Rio-Niteroi Bridge, Enxadas Island, Cais do Porto, the Museum of Modern Art and Monument to the fallen on World War II.

Day 12 : Rio de Janeiro - Free day

On this free day, we recommend relaxing in the city or taking some good excursions such as to Pedra da Gavea or the Tijuca Forest.

Day 13 : Flight to Lima from Rio de Janeiro

According to your flight itinerary, a driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the airport to board your flight. Once you arrive in Lima, your driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

Day 14 : Lima - City Tour

After picking you up at the hotel, we will start the tour at Love Park located in the tourist district of Miraflores: According the National Geographic, is one of the most romantic places in the world and is daily visited by many couples. Here, you will enjoy beautiful ocean views. 

Then, we will pass El Olivar Park located in the financial district of San Isidro: Full of trees and beautiful houses from the colonial era, this amazing place was declared a National Monument in 1959. 

Then, we will arrive at the Historic Center of Lima, visiting San Martin Square until we reach the Main Square, the scene of beautiful buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall of Lima, among others. The historic center has amazing balconies from the colonial and republican era, declared Cultural World Heritage. At this point, we will start to walk to the impressive Santo Domingo Convent, where there are relics of the most representative saints of the city, as Santa Rosa de Lima and San Martin de Porres. 

At the end, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 15 : Flight to Cusco from Lima

Depending on the means of transport chosen, your driver will pick you up at your hotel to transfer you to the bus terminal or the airport. Once you arrive in Cusco, your transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel to check in and have the day off. 

Day 16 : Cusco - City Tour and Ruins

We will pick you up from the hotel and the tour starts visiting the Temple of Coricancha, aslo known as Golden Temple, for its gold richness that this place housed. This symbolic place has a clear example of the fusion between Incan and Hispanic cultures and during the Spanish conquer, the temple’s base was used to build the Church of Santo Domingo and its famous convent. 

Then, we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco located in the Main Square to appreciate a beautiful religious paintings of the Cusco School. Also, it was declared as a World Cultural Heritage. The tour continues to the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman: An amazing place with huge carved stones which fit each other in a perfect way and it is said that it was built by more than 20 thousand men, and took over 70 years to finish it. Located 2 Km. away from the city of Cusco, this Incan Fortress has amazing landscapes, and it houses llamas and hawks. 

Later, we will visit the religious temple of Qenqo, place where the Incas worshiped their Gods like the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. The next point is the military compound of Puca Pucara, which means “Red Fortress” for its reddish infrastructure. Then, we will go the water’s worship center of Tambomachay, with aqueducts and waterfalls provided from nearby springs. Definitely, the Inca civilization had an advanced and surprising construction engineering. 

At the end, we will back to the hotel in Cusco city.

Day 17 : Cusco - Machu Picchu by Train Vistadome

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco and we will go to Poroy train station in a private transport. You will take the Vistadome train and start a little more than 3 hours’ journey to Aguas Calientes train station. At this point, we will board the bus until the wonderful Citadel of Machu Picchu. 

The guided tour along 2 hours, will let you explore this awesome archeological site, also known as The Lost City of the Incas. This place has an important local flora and fauna, surrounded by different types of orchids and tree forests. Also, in this area lives insects, mammals and birds as the “Gallito de las Rocas”, declared the Peruvian national bird. You will have time to enjoy your free time in Machu Picchu taking pictures.

At the arrange time, you will go at the Aguas Calientes train station to back to Cusco City, arriving to Poroy train station first and finally, taking a private transport to the hotel. 

Day 18 Cusco - Sacred Valley

We will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco to start the incredible tour to The Sacred Valley of the Incas: Located 15 km northeast of Cusco city, this place has been appreciated by the Inca Empire for its geographical and climatic qualities, and for its fertile lands perfect for crops. 

The Sacred Valley altitude is 2,800 M.A.S.L. and it has one of the best weathers in the region. The Valley has a unique flora and fauna with wild flowers and wildlife as vizcacha, puma and skunk. After 33 Km of journey, we will arrive in the small town of Pisac: This fantastic place has an amazing craft market and archaeological temples of stone buildings with incredible views to the Valley.

Then, we will continue the tour until Urubamba to enjoy a traditional Peruvian food in a local restaurant located on the banks of the Urubamba River. Later, we will reach Ollantaytambo Fortress. Its temple was the headquarter of Inca’s army, as well as a religious and agricultural place. It has stunning views, and more than a hundred Inca platforms with an advanced irrigation canal for that period.

To finish the tour, we will visit Chinchero and the typical and colorful Inca market full of traditional craft as ceramics and Andean looms. After this unique experience, we will back to the hotel in Cusco City.

Day 19 : Cusco - End of the trip

According to your option chosen, you will be transferred to the Bus Station or the Airport to continue your trip or to return home. This is the end of this adventure!
