Tour Plan
You have been dreaming of your safari for so long and now it is
finally about to begin. You will meet your guide who will tell you
everything you need to know to get your safari started. We are
as excited as you are to get your trip underway.
One of the few African safari destinations that can be
explored by car, by boat or on guided walks, the 3,480km²
Murchison Falls National Park is dominated geographically by
the Nile River and 43m-high waterfall after which it is named.
Here you can be confident of seeing elephant, buffalo, hippo,
giraffe, waterbuck, hartebeest, oribi, Uganda kob, crocodile
and a good range of aquatic birds. With a bit of luck you
might also encounter lion, leopard, patas monkey and the
bizarre stork-like shoebill.
Kibale National Park is best known for its population of
around 1,000 chimpanzees, man and his closest genetic relative. The
park is home to a dozen other primate species, including
Uganda mangabey, a type of monkey that is unique to Uganda
and difficult to see anywhere other than Kibale. It supports a
dazzling forest birdlife, with 370 species recorded, ranging
from the outrageously colorful great blue turaco to the
secretive green-breasted pitta.
There is something about chimpanzees that makes them one
of the greatest safari prizes of all. We will take you trekking
through the forest to spend time with them and enjoy an
encounter that you will never forget.
Chimp Trekking, Kibale National Park.
Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's best allround safari destination. In
addition to being home to four of
the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo), this
biodiverse park is studded with wetlands that support an
astonishing 5,000 hippos along with large flocks of flamingos,
pelicans and other aquatic birds. Weather permitting, the
views to the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori, Africa's second highest mountain (after
Kilimanjaro), are also exceptional.
Occupying a series of low hills and marshy valleys that roll
northwards from Lake Victoria, Kampala has been an
important political entity since the mid-19th-century reign of
King Suuna II of Buganda. Despite being steeped in traditional
and colonial history, Kampala today is a bustling modern
capital city situated at the heart of Uganda's road network.
Put on some warm clothes and enjoy an early morning game
drive. This is the perfect time to experience the wildlife and
the landscapes they inhabit. The light is soft and warm –
perfect for photography – and most animals are out and
about, and active. If you’re not an early riser, you’ll definitely
want to make an exception here.
Early Morning Game Drive, Ishasha Sector.
Soak up the history as you explore Zanzibar Stone Town. The
museums and architecture here speak of a rich and varied
history, with influences from across East Africa and the
Indian Ocean. But you will love this place most when the smell
of spices and the Muslim call to prayer carries through the
streets.
When you arrive on Zanzibar Island, you know straightaway
that this is a place like no other. Arrival in time will give you opportunity to have the stone town tour. This was an island made
wealthy by its role in the spice trade, and the superb
architecture and spice-filled markets are reminders of that
time. Fine beaches and scenery are also found across the
island.
Spend more time getting to know Zanzibar Island.
Go snorkeling with us and enjoy discovering a whole new
world of wonder just below the ocean and surface. The marine
life you will see could just become one of the highlights of your
trip. There will be other activities like, diving, visiting the prisons Island, dolphins experience
Snorkeling, Zanzibar Island and much more
Travelers with late night flights can still have a bit more of the Zanzibar Island experience this day before they leave the Island. Your time with us on safari in Uganda is now at an end, but we
hope to have given you many fantastic memories that will live
on long after you have returned home. Travel home safely, and
we hope to see you again.
