Day 1 Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda and welcome to your safari! It all begins

here with an introduction to your guide and with a chance for

you to ask any questions. Then it's time to get out there and

enjoy your safari. Because you chose Uganda, you have so

much to look forward to.

Entebbe and its international airport provide a wonderful

introduction to Uganda. The airport is practically lapped by

the waters of Africa's largest lake, while the town’s jungle-like

setting gives it plenty of atmosphere. Once you're settled in

here, you can enjoy some fabulous bird watching – fish eagles

shriek overhead and turacos chatter in the forest – or head to

any of several waterside restaurants for a relaxed meal or

drink.

western Uganda. The park’s acacia-swathed slopes and

valleys are home to giraffe, zebra, buffalo, impala, waterbuck,

bushbuck and various other grazers and browsers. Hippos,

crocodiles and aquatic birds thrive in an extensive network of

lakes and other wetlands.
