This. Let’s explore with Origin Vietnam what’s so attractive about Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate!
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark is located in the northernmost province of Vietnam, Ha Giang. It encompasses four districts: Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, and Quan Ba. The combination of its geological, geomorphological, ecological, and cultural values makes Dong Van Stone Plateau Geopark a truly exceptional destination for visitors to explore and appreciate.
Spend 1 hour in the morning to discover Nam Dam village before you continue the way to Dong Van. Lunch in Yen Minh town. On the way to Dong Van, you can have a 1.5-hour walk near Lung Cam village to have a look at the life of the local minority Hmong people. After that, pay a visit to the old King Of Hmong Palace. Reach your hotel in Dong Van early in the afternoon. If time permits, take a walk up the French fortress right at the top of the mountain behind your hotel for a panoramic view at sunset.
A romantic hangout for friends and family in the middle of rock plateau. Lung Cam village is one of the best sites to visit in Ha Giang, only about 25km away from the town of Dong Van. Lung Cam Village located in the centre of Sung La Valley, Sung La Commune, Dong Van District, is home to 3 ethnic groups of Mong, Lo Lo and Han. Of which 85% are Mong people. Sung La Valley boasts a romantic scenery of a karst plateau with boundless mountain ranges, fresh corn fields, colorful gardens and hundred-years-old ancient houses. H’mong houses in Lung Cam village have almost an identical look with rustic moss-covered walls surrounded by rock fences.
Located in the Sa Phin Valley is the palace of the Hmong kings who ruled large parts of Vietnam's northern Ha Giang province in the early 20th century. Vuong Chinh Sinh Palace, also known Vua Meo (King of the Hmong), was built in 1902 and was the seat of power of two Hmong rulers. The Hmong people had dominated the region since settling there centuries before after migrating from southern China. The first of these rulers was aligned with the French colonial powers, while the second supported Ho Chi Minh's fight for independence.
