About This Tour

Arugam Bay is a bay situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's southeast coast. The bay is located 320 km due east of Colombo. It is a popular surfing and tourist destination. Due to its popularity among low budget tourists, the area has managed a slow recovery. By private initiatives only. The main road through town has still not been repaved. just a single main road running parallel to the beach dotted with guesthouses, cafés and shops, including some of Arugam Bay’s trademark quirky homespun architectural creations rustic palm-thatch cabanas, teetering treehouses and other quaint structures (not to mention the distinctive wooden pavilion restaurant and red British telephone box of the landmark Siam View Hotel and The beach is now looking better than ever. This is an amazing destination for a tourist to relax by the beach and see the sunrise.

Kumana National Park, a favourite outing spot for the country's residents is located at the south eastern corner of Sri Lanka. One of their most prominent features would be the bird sanctuary and their wide swamp lake, which gives it all the vibe of a safari park. It is home to some famous mammals like elephants, leopards and deers etc. It's said that some rare birds were spotted in the lake and tourists rushed to witness their existence at once.

Muhudu maha viharaya is a Buddhist temple situated at Pottuvil in Eastern province of Sri Lanka. This temple is situated near a wide beach. In this temple there is a stone statue of lord Buddha and two statues of old kings or gods. In today also there is a Buddhist temple. This temple was built in the Anuradhapura era by king Kaavantissa. According to some folk stories Viharamaha Devi has come ashore from this place not from Kirinda and there are a lot of archeological proofs supporting that.
