Truly a cultural capital in South America, this vibrant port city is home to many first-class singers and musicians.
Visit famous landmarks in both the old and new city sectors, and stop at one of the main theaters -- the Solis Theater. Recently restored, this was one of the first theaters in South America and is a must-see when visiting Montevideo.
Travel to Plaza Independencia, one of the main squares in Montevideo boasting a famous marble statue of General José Gervasio Artigas, a well-known South American military leader and national hero.
Take photos of Uruguay’s tallest building, the Palacio Salvo.
After the city tour and before leaving Montevideo, your guide will bring you to Punta Carretas, a famous shopping center, so you can go shopping and bring back souvenirs (Montevideo is the shopping capital of South America).
At 6 pm, meet your group at the end of your shopping tour to board a coach in the direction of the pier. At 7:15 pm, head back to Buenos Aires by ferry. When you dock in Buenos Aires, you’ll be transported to your hotel.
