Chiang Rai Day Trip from Chiang Mai - White Temple & Golden Triangle

7:00 AM - Pick up from the hotel or designated pick-up point, then proceed directly to Chiang Rai.

• Mae Khachan Hotspring serves as a convenient breakpoint, offering available restrooms and restaurant services. 
• Take a moment to enjoy the view of the highest geyser in Thailand.
• Duration: 1 hour

• Afterwards, we will proceed to the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). 
• Marvel at its distinctive decor crafted from glass, sculptural pieces, and murals, all intricately designed by a renowned Thai artist. 
• Explore the breathtaking architecture of the white building adorned with glass.
• Duration: 1 hour

• We will then depart for the Golden Triangle, specifically Chiang Saen in Chiang Rai Province. A lunch break will be taken at this point. 
• This area marks the frontier between Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, separated by the Mekong River. 
• Our exploration will focus on the Golden Triangle, the northernmost region of Thailand.
• Duration: 1 hour

• Here, you will have a magnificent view over the Mae Khong River, witnessing the physical triangle formed by Burma, Laos, and Thailand at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers. 
• For a small fee (an additional 300 THB), you can also enjoy a boat ride to behold the splendor of the mighty Mekong River.
• Following this, we will engage in some sightseeing at Wat Prathat Phu Khao before departing for the hill tribe's village.
• Duration: 1 hour

• There is an optional visit to the Laos border, which is approximately 35-40 minutes away. 
• Please note that an additional fee of 300 THB is required for this visit.

• On the way back to Chiang Mai, anticipate approximately 3 hours of travel time.
• You will safely return to Chiang Mai and reach your hotel.
