Drive across the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. Driving across the iconic ‘coathanger’ and seeing the stunning design of the world’s largest steel arch bridge up close is a momentous occasion.
Enjoy the ocean vista of Australia's most famous beach when we stroll along the boardwalk and then make our way along the popular coastal pathway to the nearby picturesque beaches of Tamarama and Bronte. Along the way we will walk past the Bondi Icebergs, an Olympic size ocean pool. There are great views of these beaches when we hit the Tamarama side of the track. . Next leg is a drive to Clovelly and Coogee beaches where we will do a second walk which allows us to sample more spectacular coastal scenery, including Wedding Cake Island and Gordons Bay. We might even come across the surfers enjoying the waves.
Tamarama is a beautiful small beach with a large rock platform on its north side and adjoining Bronte beach has a very pretty and popular rockpool and salt water swimming pool.
Sydney Harbour's southern headland views exemplify the beauty of the city's sandstone foundation. There is the option to take a stroll along the Federation Cliff Walk and better appreciate the panoramic ocean views.
Australia's natural masterpiece and oldest botanic garden, overlooking Sydney Harbour. The Domain, an urban oasis, wraps the Garden.
Your oasis in the heart of Sydney, with views of the harbour. Make a day of it with the family, relax with friends or enjoy some me time at Australia's oldest botanic garden
A stunning family beach wedged between two headlands, Freshwater is a short walk north from Manly. A small creek running out the north end of the beach provided fresh water for the campers and gave the beach its name.
Freshwater's unique claim to fame is that this is where surfboard riding was popularised in Australia by Hawaiian "Duke" Kahanamoku. Duke famously carved a board from a piece of local timber and demonstrated surfing for an enthralled crowd on 10 January 1915. A life-size statue of Duke Kahanamoku on the northern headland commemorates the historic day.
Freshwater is part of the Manly-Freshwater National and World Surfing Reserve that recognises the historical, cultural, and environmental values of famous surfing beaches. The favourite beach of many local Sydneysiders! The first place surfing was done in Australia in 1915. View the dramatic sea cliffs and headlands as we drive right next to the coastline
