Travelers from the USA or other countries can enter Kenya with some requirements and restrictions according to their health statue. Let’s take a closer look at the major Kenya Travel restrictions.
Travel Requirements
PCR Test
Passengers who are entering Kenya must provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued at most 96 hours before departure. The test result must be in English. It also applies to those who are only transiting through Kenya, even if they are vaccinated.
Quarantine
Travelers with a negative rapid test result should go through 14 days of mandatory or voluntary quarantine.
Exceptions
Travelers from the countries on this list https://kcaa.or.ke/sites/default/files/docs/covid_19/exempted_states.pdf don’t need to go through quarantine if they provide a negative COVID-19 test result.
Passengers with symptoms of COVID-19
If any traveler has the symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival, they will be subjected to 14 days of quarantine in their accommodation. Also, passengers seated on two rows surrounding the person with symptoms will be subjected to 14 days of self-isolation.
Health Screening
Travelers will go through a health screening on arrival.
