Tour Plan
We will leave very early in the morning from your accommodation in Cusco city, and we will go towards the picturesque Paucartambo town.
We will continue the route towards the Cloud Forest, with a previous stop for lunch. After admire beautiful nature, we will arrive at our accommodation for a deserved break. Dinner included.
Overnight at Orquideas de San Pedro Lodge, basic accommodation
Very early we will go in search of the famous Gallito de las Rocas, Peruvian national bird. After breakfast, we will continue the journey to Pilcopata town. At this point, you have one totally free option to do: * Rafting: you will spend an hour and a half of adrenaline, class I and II, by the Koñeq or Alto Madre de Dios rivers.
Then, we will continue to the port of Atalaya and start our boat descent to the lodge. Along the way, you will appreciate beautiful and very diverse flora and wildlife. We will hike the trails around, and be able to admire the Peruvian jungle beauty. During the night, we can take a walk to look for insects and amphibians.
Overnight at Erika Lodge, basic accommodation
In the morning, we will visit the Collpa by boat, a wall located on the river where a great variety of bird species come down every morning to extract the clay as part of their food. We will return to the lodge, and begin our back by boat to Atalaya port. Upon arrival, our transportation will take us towards Cusco city. This day includes breakfast, and lunch on the route to Cusco.
