Day 5 Discover the rich and vast cultural heritage of Sri Lanka within 5 days
Day 01: Airport – Pinnawala – Dambulla
- Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport
- Meet and greet at the ariport
- Transfer to Dambulla.
- En route visits the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
- Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to approx 60 - 100 elephants.Pinnawala is situated in Sabaragamuwa province, in Sri Lanka which has become famous because of the 1st Asian Elephant Orphanage in the world. Watch the baby elephants play and bathe in the river, watch them being fed, or feed them yourself. Day 02: Anuradhapura – Giritale
- After breakfast
- We will leave for Anuradhapura
- Sightseeing of the ancient city of Anuradhapura considered the birthplace of Sinhala civilization & one of the world’s largest archaeological sites. It is considered as the greatest monastic city of the ancient world, & was founded in the 5th century BC.
- Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Lankan civilization. From the 4th century BC, it was the capital of Sri Lanka until the beginning of the 11th century AD. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. The ancient city, considered sacred to the Buddhist world, is today surrounded by monasteries covering an area of over sixteen square miles (40 km²). Anuradhapura is also significant in Hindu legend as the fabled capital of the Asura King Ravana in the Ramayana.

Day 03: Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Proceed to Polonaruwa the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD.
- Polonnaruwa Another UNESCO world heritage site, according to the chronicles, during the 12th century a prince of great metal and physical vigour hailing from the Rohana (Southern part of Sri Lanka) forced his way to the throne of Sri Lanka as King Prakrama Bahu the great. Establishing himself in Polonnaruwa, a capital worthy of authority and ambition of the ruler, he proceeded to show himself as a successful warrior and a great administrator, during which time he, through a medium of a dam nine miles long created the Sea of Parakrama” harvesting rain water to be used in the dry period of the year for cultivation purposes, carving the irrigation brilliance of Sri Lankan’s in stone, when most of Europe where still in darkness. In a period of prosperity with the objective of storing food many such projects were undertaken some of which function even today. Today vast ruins stand sentinel bearing witness in Polonnaruwa to his power and glory.

Day 04: Kandy – Negombo
- Breakfasr ar the hotel
- Take a city tour of Kandy which includes Kandy Temple, Royal botanical gardens, traditional batik making factory, shopping complexes etc., then proceed to Negombo.
- One of the most famous Buddhist temples in the world, which was built to protect the sacred tooth relic thought to belong to Lord Buddha, which has been enshrined in Sri Lanka for hundreds of years As well as a host of other temples, visitors to the city can wander along Kandy Lake, stroll through the stunning Botanical Gardens created by the British in the 19th century and still one of the most beautiful gardens in Asia.The garden is famous for its countless (4000+) species of plants and trees. It is situated a 15-minute drive west of Kandy, and is a great escape from the city.
- Climbing the numerous steps to the top seeing the white colossal statue of Buddha named as Bahirawakanda Vihara gives one a sense of peace, serenity and harmony; and a stunning and gorgeous panoramic view of charming Kandy.We will visit Botanical garden, make a visit to the Kandy Temple Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Tooth

- On the way back we will visit a tea factory in the evening see the Kandyan The cultural show depicts various forms of Kandyan dancing which was once native to the area but has now spread to different regions of the island and the show include of Magul Bera/Puja Netuma/Raban/Mayura Netuma/Pantheru Natuma/Gini Sisila/Ves Natuma(Fire walk).
- Climb the hill by Kandy Lake to reach Kandy view point and receive a view of the city that cannot be beaten.
- By the end of the day proceed to negombo

Day 05: Negombo – Colombo – Airport

- After breakfast proceed to colombo
- Take city tour of Colombo
- City tour of Colombo commencing with a visit to the Fort and the Pettah commercial hub with offices and shopping areas located amidst the oldest colonial hotel GOH. It has a fantastic view of the Colombo harbor, a lighthouse with a clock tower (older than Big Ben in London) close to the president’s house and old parliament.

- Afterwards, proceed through the main street passing the old Dutch Museum, belfry and old City Hall which houses puppets of earlier governors of Sri Lanka. Stop will be made at the Old Dutch hospital with shops and restaurants facing Sri Lanka’s twin tower buildings. Continue to the old race course with a maze of buildings with colonial architecture, restaurants and shopping arcade passing through Colombo City Hall (mini replica of the White House in Washington, DC) Shopping in Colombo
