Day 1 Itinerary
Your tour guide will pick you up at Cai Lan/Halong port and drive 130km (around 1.5 hours) to Hanoi through beautiful countryside of the Red River. See local Vietnamese farmers working in the lush fields. About 10:30, you will be in Hanoi capital city with elegant colonial mansions and villas sourrounded by lakes, parks and tree-lined boulevards.
However, most amazing part of the city to experience the local daily life and culture is the Old Quarter well-known 36 commercial streets. Take cyclo tour around for amazing experience. Also your tour guide will take you to see local houses in small lane where vehicles can not reach. You will learn the "Real Vietnam". Your Hanoi tour is followed with the remarkable Temple of Literature built in 1070 as Vietnam's first university. Have Lunch at local restaurant
