The Agerola Plain and the village of Bomerano are laid out below us and, on a clear day, we can see as far as Capri, an idyllic island hideout for many celebrated artists and writers over the past 200 years. After admiring the majestic scenery, descend to Bomerano and enjoy a rest before a hearty dinner. At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel.Overnight in Amalfi Coast.

Day 2 AMALFI COAST: VALLE DELLE FERRIERE (hiking 4,5km – 3hrs)

Inside the deep valley, you can see several examples of industry of the 10th century, such as the remains of an old aqueduct or the ironworks where the iron was produced, and then we will visit the ruins of numerous paper mills that remain one of the few links with the history, wealth and power of the Republic of Amalfi. You’ll start from the old village of Pontone: from here in less than one hour you’ll reach a unique place: the “Valle delle Ferriere” Oriented Nature Reserve, a real treasure chest of many treasures such as the Great Waterfall of the Rio Canneto more than 25 meters high, or the Petrified Mosses, in this subtropical microclimate, you can find the rare Pinguicola Hirtiflora (a carnivorous plant), the Erica Terminalis but especially the famous prehistoric fern Woodwardia Radicans, a rare species of giant fern that has been present in the area for more than 65 million years. At the end of the hike, transfer back to the hotel.Overnight in Amalfi Coast.

The adventurous journey will lead you through historic towns, following along ancient mule routes and purveying some of the most remarkable panoramas you will come across in Italy while keeping you apart from the bustling hubbub of tourist attractions.  At the end of the hike, transfer back to take your luggage and go to the next hotel in Sorrento.Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 4 SORRENTO – CAPRI: SENTIERO DEI FORTINI – SORRENTO (hiking 5,2km – 3hrs)

After breakfast meet the driver at the lobby to arrive at the Sorrento Pier where you will get the ferry to Capri. Upon arrival in Capri a driver will take you to the starting point of Path of the Forts where an expert guide will wait for you. The Via dei Fortini is a path that crosses the western coast of the island of Capri through four forts. It crosses very beautiful sites of the coast, cliffs, promontories and small creeks, connecting the Blue Grotto to the lighthouse of the Punta Carena. The forts were built between the ninth and fifteenth centuries to monitor the coast, regularly attacked by pirates. Leaving from the Blue Grotto, the path goes below the Imperial Villa of Damecuta, Punta dell’Arcera, to then reach the Fort of Orrico, on the Punta del Miglio. From Fort Orrico, you can see the circular stone structure of Fortino di Mesola, well integrated into the rocky landscape, on the promontory Campietello. It overlooks Cala del Rio, the cove that follows that of Cala del Lupinaro. The path leading to it is partly wooded. This is the most important of the forts. After the Mesola fort, the path continues along the wildest part of the route to the entrance of Cala di Mezzo which leads to a stone staircase. We arrive at the Fortino di Pino overlooking the Cala di Tombosiello. The continuous path passes through the Fortino del Cannone. A rather steep climb then leads to Punta Carena, dominated by the lighthouse and from which you can admire the sunset that colors the purple-red coastline. At the end of the trek, transfer back to the pier to reach the ferry back to Sorrento.  When you arrive in Sorrento, a driver will wait for you to reach the hotel.Overnight in Sorrento.
