Breaths of the coolness in the emerald lake of Skra! Join us to lead you to a well-hidden heaven on earth. The dense vegetation of plane trees, splinters, and ivy along with a cluster of streams, waterfalls and the emerald lake make up a fairy-tale setting. Ideal place for a day trip, forest tour, and the most courageous rope dives in the blue waters of the lake. The unique color of its waters owes it to the fossilized organisms at its bottom. The walk on the lake of Skra ends with a walk a little further to the impressive waterfalls and their complex with stalagmites – stalactites. Unparalleled beauty is awe-inspiring to every visitor, and if you close your eyes you will be left to the magic of the sound from the sparkling waters.
The impressive lake is followed by a visit to the open baths of Aridaia for bath therapy in the thermal waters. In the green environment, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the unique natural beauty of the landscape, shop for local products or even relax with a massage session.
We start at 8:00 in the morning from Thessaloniki and after 1 hour and 40 minutes we have reached our destination, waterfalls, and lake of Skra! From here begins our tour in the dense vegetation and within 2 hours we will have the opportunity to see up close this hidden pearl of nature and dive into the blue waters of the lake. After our excursion, we will visit the next village of Skra where we will have 1 hour free to eat or coffee in a local tavern (optional). From Skra we head for Αlmopia baths in Aridaia and we will need about 1.5 hours to find ourselves in a beautiful place, authentic with lush vegetation and warm thermal waters! Our stay will take place in the village of Orma and you will choose your program, with options for hot baths, relaxation, enjoy coffee or food in the amazing nature and of course a walk in the local market with local products.
On the first day, we will enjoy the emerald lake and relax in the warm baths. In the evening he can find us relaxing in a local wine tavern. The next day we will wake up and enjoy our coffee and breakfast in the beautiful place and after we prepare our things and start the journey to the museum of Vergina and the tombs of the King. The museum inside encloses the royal tombs and this in itself causes a special descent. The unique gold-plated buildings on display indicate the greatness of ancient Macedonia. After 1.5 hours in the museum, we have the choice to either sit in a local tavern or start our return to Thessaloniki. A visit to the park of Ag. Nikolaos in Naoussa or in the waterfalls of Edessa, depending on the time we will have at our disposal.
