The Egyptian Museum
A centerpiece of Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum has been a mecca for Egyptologists since it opened and houses some of the world’s greatest ancient relics. The museum house over 250,000 genuine artifacts, including the treasures of the most famous Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamen. The gold and jewelry on display was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s during excavations by famous archaeologist Howard Carter. Accompanied by your degree-certified Egyptologist you will gain a deeper insight to the the artifacts displayed and their context within the history and culture of ancient Egypt. For an additional charge you can visit the royal mummy room and and look upon the mummies of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs like Ramses II and Hatshepsut.

After your in-depth tour of the museum, your guide will accompany you to a local restaurant in Cairo’s beautiful 19th century downtown.
2 -Nile Sailboat Cruise
After lunch your guide will transfer you the Nile to board your traditional Felucca. These Egyptian sailboat have been used for millennia to move up and down the Nile, but they are also ideal for a relaxing evening cruise to escape the bustle of the city. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset Seat yourself in one of the comfortable seats and start to gently sail along the magical River Nile.
