This tour will involve you in some activities. The time in each activity can be flexible as your request as long as it doesn’t affect the whole plan.
Day 1:
From 8.30 am to 9.00 am, you will be greeted and picked up at your hotel’s lobby by an English speaking tour guide.
Your first destination is the Elephant Village Camp. Once you arrive there, you will be welcomed by the camp manager. He will deliver a short introduction about elephant. You will be impressed at interesting information about elephants, a symbol of Laos which is commonly known as land of a Million Elephants (Lane Xang).
After that, you will enjoy an impressive experience of riding the elephant. You will be on the howdah (elephant seat) or on the elephant’s neck. 2 people are arranged to be on 1 elephant. You will ride the elephant about 3 kilometers. It must be a fascinating experience to enjoy the beautiful landscape on an elephant’s back.
After this exhilarating activity, you will embark on the Laos traditional long-tail boat to head to the Tad Sae Waterfall. Here, you will enjoy yourself with cool and clear water. You can relax, dip your feet in the pool or swim. You have a lot of time there.
Then, you will take the Mahout Training (training how to be an elephant rider). You will have a basic mahout training on how to control an elephant by yourself.
You will stop and have lunch at a restaurant in the Elephant Camp. This buffet lunch will be served with coffee/tea and drinking water (vegetarian options are available).
Following the morning excursion and a nice lunch, in the afternoon, you will take your elephant to the jungle where you will enjoy a distinctive experience of riding your elephant to her jungle where she takes a rest in the evening.
In the evening, you will have a tasty dinner served at the Elephant Camp restaurant. Then, you will enjoy a relaxing night at the Elephant Lodge with dramatic views over the Nam Khan River.
Day 2:
You will enjoy a unique experience of waking up and being immersed in the tranquil and beautiful landscape of the Laos jungle in the morning.
You will do the morning exercise by taking your elephant down to the Nam Khan River for an exciting and once-in-a lifetime bathing experience. You will bathe your elephant. Be ready to get wet in this activity with your lovely elephant.
Then, you have breakfast at the Elephant Camp restaurant. It will be served with coffee / tea and drinking water). After breakfast, you take a short rest, and then pack your luggage to check out. At around 10.00 am or 11.00 am, you will be driven back to your hotel in Luang Prabang. The tour ends.
