About This Tour

This 15 km tour of Ushuaia on a double-decker bus takes you to discover the most emblematic spots of the city. It begins at the Old Government Building and the First School, reflecting the educational and governmental history of the region. Then, visit the First Chapel and the Otero House, which highlight local architecture and spirituality.

The Malvinas Monument and the First Cemetery offer a moment of reflection on memory and history. The tour continues through CADIC and the University, showing scientific and educational progress. At Monte Gallinero and Monte Vigía, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. We will go down to take some photos and return.

We pass by the Pipo River and the New Neighborhoods, before entering the historic Camino de los Presos. At Laguna del Diablo we will get off to take more pictures, appreciate it and take a break to then continue the tour, followed by the Italian Quarter and the Local Hospital. The tour includes a stop at the Saint Christopher shipwreck and the End of the World Museum, culminating at the Naval Dock and the Fournier Monument, which celebrate maritime history and the pioneers of Ushuaia.

The tour ends in the same place it began: the Civic Square of Ushuaia.

Day 1 Ushuaia - Luis Pedro Fique

Surrounded by Le Martial mountains in Patagonia, Ushuaia offers a glimpse of sea, mountains and forest at the ‘end of the world.’ Aboard your double-decker bus, you will depart from Maipu Avenue in Ushuaia’s city center, heading toward the Luis Pedro Fique footbridge. You will cross a narrow pass that ends at La Mission neighborhood, an area settled by Europeans at the beginning of the 20th century, and drive through districts like Brown and Solier for a glimpse of homes built by Ushuaia’s first immigrants. You will hear entertaining onboard commentary about these original Fuegan families – including Bebans, Pastorizas, Cangas, Fiques, Salomons and Ramos – and observe the Patagonian town’s commercial growth since the arrival of new settlers during the 1980s.

Day 2 Ushuaia - Paseo del Bicentenario

Then, you will enter the naval base, a restricted area where the first public buildings like the provincial legislature and old government's house were constructed. From Gobernador Paz Street, your coach will drive to Paseo del Centenario, a panoramic point with great photo ops of the mountain chains and islands across the Beagle Channel, which is the jumping off point for Antarctica. Then, you will head back down to sea level to see the vessel of St Christopher and hear his story from your guide.

Day 3 Ushuaia - Martial Glacier

The Ushuaia coach tour includes a transfer to the base of the chairlift to Martial Glacier, where you will be able to stretch your legs and view the gorgeous landscape.

Day 4 Ushuaia - End of the World Museum

Located at 173 Maipú Street in the city of Ushuaia, the birth of the End of the World Museum has a profound social and cultural content, based on the search for the roots that represent the past. It has information rooms about the prison and the origins of the city, ethnic groups, ships sunk in the fuegian coasts and gold prospectors in the north of the island, in addition to a sample of most of the species that make up the local avifauna. You will be able to end the tour at this stop.

Day 5 Ushuaia - Maritime Museum

The building of the old prison of Ushuaia is now part of an important museum complex that contains the Maritime Museum, the Presidio Museum, the Antarctic Museum and the Marine Art Museum. You will be able to end the tour at this stop.
