Half-day Fishing and Farming life tour from Hoi An

You will be picked up at your hotel at about 8.30.a.m or 2.p.m (the pickup time is flexible upon request) by an experienced tour guide and join in a 30-minute bicycle tour or to get access to Van Lang fishing village.

Your first activity is to get on board of a basket boat to sail along the water coconut river. On this boat, you will be taught the techniques to catch crabs, row basket boat, pull fishing round net, cast a net as well as the way to make lovely tools by water coconut leaf.

Then, you will continue your trip with a bicycle tour to the appointment in Cam Thanh village where you can experience a unique Buffalo Cart.

Then, you will be taught the traditional techniques to grow wet rice with water buffalo: plow soil, harrow soil, transplanting baby wet rice, scoop water with different scoopers.

Then, you will come back to a rice farmer’ house to spend time relaxing and enjoy a glass of Vietnamese tea.
Next, you will learn the traditional way to make white cooking rice: grind paddy by husking mill, winnow rice, pound and sift rice as well as the technique to make rice milk and cook rice pancake.

Then, you will enjoy the meal at the farmer’ house with some specialties of the area: pumpkin Soup, Tam Huu, crispy Spring Rolls, Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake), steamed rice and seasonal fruits.

Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel when the tour ends.
