Located in eastern Georgia, Kakheti is celebrated as the cradle of Georgian winemaking, a tradition that dates back over 8,000 years. Georgia, often called the "Cradle of Wine," is one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions, with archaeological evidence of winemaking practices as early as 6,000 BCE.

Central to this ancient tradition are Qvevris—large, egg-shaped clay vessels buried underground, allowing wine to ferment naturally. This traditional method is still practiced today, connecting modern winemaking to its ancient roots.

Kakheti boasts some of Georgia’s most renowned vineyards and wineries, producing a variety of wines, including its famous dry wines. Native grape varieties like Saperavi (red) and Rkatsiteli (white) flourish here, creating wines with unique flavors and deep cultural significance.

With its breathtaking landscapes, rich winemaking heritage, and warm hospitality, Kakheti offers an unforgettable wine tour experience. You’ll delve into the region's history, taste its diverse wines, and embrace the vibrant culture that defines this iconic wine region.
